In general, our data retention practices following subscription cancellation are as follows:

  • Driving Data: Retained for up to 90 days for analysis and troubleshooting, then anonymized. Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained for internal analytics, product enhancement, and service improvement.
  • Account Data: Information such as contact details and payment records (if applicable) is retained for up to 12 months for legal, audit, or billing purposes, then securely deleted.
  • App Logs and Diagnostics: Retained for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

Upon receiving a verified data deletion request, SmartWheels GPS will delete your personal data within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

SmartWheels GPS does not share identifiable driving or location data with third parties without your explicit consent. Trusted service providers may process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-processing agreements that ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws.

All data is securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in the United States. We implement appropriate security measures, including encryption, secure storage, and access controls, to protect your data. While we strive to secure your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

SmartWheels is not intended for use by individuals under the legal driving age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
